Privacy
QuietCode builds apps with privacy as a core principle. This page explains website and app data handling.
QuietCode LTD is committed to building software that respects your privacy. This page covers the QuietCode website and QuietCode apps, including Warmth and Firefly.
Our Approach
We believe that your personal data belongs to you. Whenever possible, we design our apps to function without collecting or storing your information on external servers.
Data Collection
Warmth (Gratitude Journal)
Warmth stores your journal entries locally on your device. No account is required, and the app does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking.
If you choose to use AI features, Warmth may process limited data needed to generate AI content:
- A random anonymous installation ID generated by the app.
- Monthly AI request counts stored by installation ID to enforce monthly AI usage limits.
- The memory or diary text you select for an AI feature.
- Relevant settings, such as tone and language.
- AI prompts and instructions needed to generate the requested AI content.
Warmth sends the selected text, settings, and AI prompts to QuietCode's backend and to third-party AI providers only to generate the AI content you request. Do not submit information to AI features that you do not want processed by QuietCode's backend or third-party AI providers.
Firefly (Task Manager)
Firefly uses iCloud to sync your data across your own devices when enabled. Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which you control directly. If you choose to sign in, we use Sign in with Apple, which does not share your email address unless you opt to do so. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising.
Information We May Access
When you contact us for support, we may receive the email address you use and any information you share in your message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
This website may also process limited technical information commonly handled by hosting providers, such as browser type, pages requested, referring pages, and approximate usage data. If analytics are used, they are intended to understand general site usage and improve the website.
How Information Is Used
Information received through email or website operations is used to respond to messages, provide support, maintain relevant business communication, operate the website, and protect the security and integrity of QuietCode services.
AI-related information is used to:
- Generate the AI content you request.
- Apply monthly AI usage limits.
- Operate, secure, debug, and prevent abuse of the AI service.
QuietCode does not sell personal information. QuietCode does not use app data, diary or memory text, AI prompts, or AI outputs for advertising, cross-app tracking, or targeted marketing. We do not intentionally disclose personal information submitted through this website except where necessary to operate the site, respond to requests, comply with legal obligations, or protect our services.
Third-Party Services
Our apps do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Where possible, we rely on platform-provided services (such as iCloud and Sign in with Apple) that are designed with user privacy in mind.
For AI features, third parties with access to the AI request data may include:
- QuietCode's backend hosting and infrastructure providers.
- OpenRouter, which routes AI requests to supported model providers.
- The AI model provider selected through OpenRouter routing for a particular request.
OpenRouter's privacy and logging practices are described in its Privacy, Logging, and Data Collection documentation and Zero Data Retention documentation. QuietCode configures OpenRouter so input and output logging is not enabled for ordinary AI requests. However, prompts and outputs may still be processed by OpenRouter and the model provider selected for the request, and retention can depend on OpenRouter routing, the selected provider, provider availability, and provider-specific retention rules shown by OpenRouter or the provider. QuietCode does not control every provider's independent retention policy.
Retention And Deletion
Warmth journal entries remain on your device unless you delete them or use an app feature that intentionally sends selected text for AI processing.
Monthly AI request counts are stored by anonymous installation ID for usage-limit enforcement. These counts are retained only as long as needed to operate monthly limits, troubleshoot abuse, comply with legal obligations, and protect the service.
AI prompts, selected memory or diary text, settings, and outputs are processed to generate the requested content. Whether prompts and outputs are retained by OpenRouter or a downstream AI provider depends on OpenRouter's routing and the selected provider's policies, as described above.
You can reset local app data by deleting and reinstalling the app. This may generate a new anonymous installation ID, but it may not automatically delete server-side usage records already associated with the previous installation ID or data retained by third-party AI providers.
To request deletion of AI usage data associated with your installation ID, email [email protected]. Include the installation ID shown in the app if available. If the app does not show the installation ID, include enough detail for us to locate the request if possible. We will delete or anonymize data we control unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or service operations.
Consent And Withdrawal
Using AI features is optional. By using an AI feature, you consent to the processing of the selected text, settings, prompts, and related usage data for AI generation and usage-limit enforcement.
You can withdraw consent for future AI processing by not using AI features, disabling AI features where the app provides that option, or deleting the app. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred before withdrawal, including processing by third-party AI providers.
Apple Privacy Requirements
This policy is intended to identify the data collected, how it is used, third parties with access, retention and deletion practices, and how consent can be withdrawn, consistent with Apple App Review Guideline 5.1.1.
